Strings and Stripes
Strings and Stripes is a three-part narrative that explores the stages of a dance between lines and colour, accompanied by a rhythmic acoustic melody. The first part portrays the meeting of black and white lines, creating a moiré effect and setting the stage for the unfolding dance. The second part introduces colour and the process that transforms the monochrome dance into a vibrant display. The final part illustrates the convergence of dark and light, culminating in a colourful dance. The shapes, reminiscent of a clock face, symbolize the themes of process and time. I was commissioned to create and showcase a video created by AltPitch at the incredible St.Mary's in Hastings.
I was asked to create and install a video artwork in a vintage designer retail space, I really enjoyed working with the strong lines of architecture. It suited my style of geometric aesthetics.
